Why Add This MS70 First Day of Issue 2020-P Basketball Hall of Fame Domed Commemorative Silver Dollar to Your Collection?
The 60th anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame was honored by the U.S. Mint in 2020 with a variety of domed commemorative coins- just the third series ever struck by the Mint to feature this unique shape. This uncirculated Basketball Hall of Fame silver dollar was struck at the Philadelphia branch of the U.S. Mint. A combined mintage of limit of 400,000 pieces was set for the Basketball Hall of Fame silver dollars.
Fine Details and Basketball Values
The mint mark is located near the date on the obverse, these are in the lower right portion of the design. This side shows three basketball players as they all reach as far as they can towards a basketball in the air.
If you’re looking for the face value, it’s located on the reverse. This is the convex side of the coin. This design shows a basketball going into the hoop, which goes great with the shape of this surface.
