Description
Why Purchase This PF69 UC First Releases 2019 Great Britain Tower of London Crown Jewels Piedfort Silver Proof with a Tower Bridge Label?
Great Britain’s Tower of London series of coins is a tribute to the history and significance of the world-famous icon. The Crown Jewels design is the second of the series, it was released in 2019. This Crown Jewels silver proof is a piedfort, so it’s double the weight and thickness of its standard counterpart.
Crown Jewels Reverse
The obverse features the work of Royal Mint engraver Jody Clark. This is the most recent effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. A number of inscriptions can be found around Her Majesty here.
The reverse is inscribed with “TOWER OF LONDON.” The design on this side shows a crown from the collection against the walls of the tower.
NGC PF69 UC First Releases with a Tower Bridge Label
This piedfort was found to be nearly free of flaws, so it was awarded the grade of Proof 69 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). It was given the Ultra Cameo designation for its visual contrast and the First Releases designation for being submitted during its first 30 days of availability. The label showing its grade has a picture of London’s Tower Bridge.
