Magnificent Historical Imagery
The reverse features an amazingly detailed radial design modeled after the northern “rose” stained-glass window of the Cathedral. The Gothic architecture of the Cathedral’s south facade dominates the obverse, surrounded by vignettes featuring a gargoyle, the arch of the main entry and tympanum of the historic landmark.
The edge of the medal is inscribed with “RECONSTRUCTION OF NOTRE-DAME DE PARIS, APRIL 15, 2019” along with its unique number among the limited mintage of only 2,019.
