Why order this Commemorative 2017 Armenia Central Bank 500 Dram Note?
This 2017 Armenia Commemorative Central Bank 500 Dram Note is perfect for religious note collectors. It commemorates Noah’s Ark, which, according to the Bible, saved Noah’s family and the animals from a flood. This new note could work beautifully as a standalone piece, but would also go nicely with Armenia’s Noah’s Ark coin.
Stunning Mount Ararat Design
The colors of the note are a mix of yellow, gray, brown and blue. On the obverse, a cabinet with a relic from Noah’s Ark in green-gold Kinegram features prominently on the left. A Noah’s Ark logo is set slightly to the right, while the Etchmiadzin Cathedral building spreads throughout the lower half of the note. The back of Mount Ararat stands imposingly in the background, while a dove carries an olive branch in the upper right, harking back to the indicator that Noah received that the flood waters were receding. The face value, “500,” is included in two corners, and Armenian text is at the top and bottom.
Noah’s family stands at the center of the reverse with animals flanking them on both sides. Mt. Ararat stands in the back, and the face value and Armenian text are included again.
Paper Money Grading (PMG) graded this note Uncirculated 66. Unc 66 notes show some signs of handling, but the centering of their margins and registration are above average.
