Innovative Curved Shape
Obverse: The obverse depicts the inside of a baseball glove on a concave surface, representing the winning design submitted by California based graphic artist Cassie McFarland. “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2014” are inscribed in the palm of the glove.
Reverse: The convex reverse features a tightly stitched baseball designed by Don Everhart, a prolific U.S. Mint Medallic Artist from 2004 until 2017. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “ONE DOLLAR,” and the Philadelphia Mint mark “P.”
