Classic Liberty design by Morgan
Both sides of this silver dollar feature designs created by George T. Morgan, which is how the coin got its name. On the obverse, Liberty is depicted. This portrait shows her facing the left and wearing a cap. The date is at the bottom of the design.
The design on the reverse shows a detailed bald eagle with the tips of its wings above its head. It can be seen clutching a few arrows and an olive branch with its talons. The “O” Mint mark of the New Orleans Mint is between the wreath and the face value inscription.
