Stunning Portrayal of Lady Liberty
Lady Liberty is centered on the obverse wearing a “LIBERTY” inscribed crown and a Phrygian cap, her hair entwined with an array of leaves and flowers. The portrait is surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original colonies, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “1883.”
The reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings holding an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. “IN GOD WE TRUST” is inscribed above, with a ribbon-tied laurel wreath and Carson City’s “CC” Mint mark below. The image is encircled by the additional inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
